Hey Fam!

I just wanted to pop in really quick and give you the recipe for my favorite ginger lemonade!

I love a good Diet Coke once in awhile but as we all know soda is filled with unnecessary sugars and chemicals. So whenever I get a craving for something other than water this is my go-to!

A quick rundown of why this “lemonade” is actually good for you!

Ginger – I’ve become obsessed with ginger lately and for good reasons! Ginger is great for digestion and preventing things like bloat and constipation. It also has natural antibacterial properties.

Lemon: Jam-packed with vitamin C – so it’s great for boosting your immune system. Lemon is also used for detoxing!

Honey – In this recipe, honey is used as a natural sweetener but it is also is a natural antibacterial and helps increase your natural immunity.

Apple Cider Vinegar – Great for a healthy gut and aids in digestion. I personally can’t drink straight ACV so it’s nice to dilute it with something yummy like lemonade!

Ingredients

2 cups of boiling water
1 piece of peeled and thinly sliced ginger
1/3 cup honey (add less/more to your preference!)
2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar
2/3 cup fresh lemon juice. (about 3-4 lemons)

*These are all pretty general measurements. Feel free to add more or less of each ingredient depending on your taste preferences!

Instructions

Boil 2 cups of water
In a microwave-safe bowl add ginger, honey, lemon juice and apple cider vinegar
Add boiling water to the bowl
Stir until the honey is dissolved
Let all ingredients steep for about 15-20 minutes
Strain ingredients (ginger, lemon seeds)
Pour over ice

I prefer to drink this ICE COLD (like Vanilla Ice – Ice Ice baby) so I pour into glass bottles – I use these – or mason jars.

Once the lemonade is done steeping, I let cool COMPLETELY and then slide into the fridge.

Keep in the fridge for 3-4 days.

*This could totally be a drink served warm on a cold day too!*

Hope you enjoy!
